Kiln dried sand is a type of very fine sand that does not contain any moisture. To remove the water and moisture from the sand before use, it is dried in a kiln. The purpose of the sand is to fill the joints of block paving and paving slabs. The sand stops the ingress of water and prevents the paving from becoming loose and moving.
