Gyrpoc’s Drywall Screws are steel screws that go through the process of phosphating which aids in making the screw corrosion resistant; the phosphating process involves the application of a well-adhering layer of phosphate. British Gypsum’s 40mm Gyproc Drywall Screws make it safe and easy to fix boards up to 30mm thick to 0.8mm maximum gauge metal framing, or single 12.5mm or 15mm boards to timber. The screws are supplied in strips for faster fixing and give you a quick and simple way to maintain system integrity. To achieve the optimum acoustic and fire performance, the plasterboard linings must be fixed securely. The screws have self-tapping points which eliminates the need for drilled holes, as they cut their own hole when screwed into the desired material. This type of screw creates a tight friction fit between the threads to help prevent loosening caused by the vibration of drilling.
